Scripture Reading
Old Testament
Psalms 19:1-4
"The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth his handiwork.
Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night showeth knowledge.
There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world.
In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun."
New Testament
John 14:1-3
"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
In my Father's house are many mansions if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."
The theme of redemption is one that the angels desire to look into. It will be the science and the song of the redeemed, throughout the ceaseless ages of eternity. Is it not worthy of careful thought and study now?
The infinite love and mercy of Jesus, the sacrifice made in our behalf, calls for the most serious and solemn reflection. We should dwell upon the character of our dear Redeemer and Intercessor. We should meditate upon the mission of Him who came to save his people from their sins. As we thus contemplate heavenly themes, our faith and love will grow stronger, and our prayers will be more and more acceptable to God, because they will be more and more mixed with faith and love. They will be intelligent and fervent. There will be more constant confidence in Jesus, and a daily, living experience in his power to save, to the utmost, all that come unto God by him. (ST April 18, 1906)
God has surrounded us with nature's beautiful scenery to attract and interest the mind. It is His design that we should associate the glories of nature with His character. If we faithfully study the book of nature, we shall find it a fruitful source for contemplating the infinite love and power of God. (RH July 25, 1871)
Mark Twain
"The Nature, which delights in periodic repetition in the heavens,is the same nature which rules the affairs here on Earth. Let us not forget that lesson."
Look at the wonderful and beautiful things of nature. Think of their marvelous adaptation to the needs and happiness, not only of man, but of all living creatures. The sunshine and the rain, that gladden and refresh the earth, the hills and seas and plains, all speak to us of the Creator's love. It is God who brings the bud to bloom, the flower to fruit. It is He who supplies the daily needs of all His creatures. (ML 294)
What happens when this is done?
The heart is quickened, and throbs with new and deeper love, mingled with awe and reverence, as we contemplate God in nature. (RH July 25, 1871)
In heaven, God is all in all. There, holiness reigns supreme; there is nothing to mar the perfect harmony with God. If we are indeed journeying thither, the spirit of heaven will dwell in our hearts here. But if we find no pleasure now in the contemplation of heavenly things; if we have no interest in seeking the knowledge of God, no delight in beholding the character of Christ; if holiness has no attractions for us, then we may be sure that our hope of heaven is vain. Perfect conformity to the will of God is the high aim to be constantly before the Christian. He will love to talk of God, of Jesus, of the home of bliss and purity which Christ has prepared for them that love Him. The contemplation of these themes, when the soul feasts upon the blessed assurances of God, the apostle represents as tasting "the powers of the world to come." (5T 745)
The knowledge of God, as revealed in Christ, is the knowledge that all who are saved, must have. It is the knowledge that works transformation of character. This knowledge, received, will re-create the soul in the image of God. It will impart to the whole being, a spiritual power that is divine. (MH 425)

We are led by Jesus through the New Jerusalem to our houses. At the front of the house our new name was engraved in gold. Even though there are hundreds of millions of people, Jesus could do it all in one day. Between the river banks and their houses, are the most beautiful gardens with all sorts of flowers. Golden footpaths lead from the front door of their houses down to the water's edge where they could swim or fly up to the branches in the Tree of Life.
At the edge of these footpaths are precious stones like diamonds and opals embedded in the edge and these shone with incredible beauty. With their super vision and powers, they could see perfectly, people on the other side of the river twenty kilometers away, and talk to them. Their houses had beautiful walls of gold and floors of polished granite. The roofs were supported by pillars of glistening marble that had all the colors of the rainbow through it. Jesus would open the door and let us in and then go on to the next house. Our guardian angel would then give us a guided tour of the house and its rooms.
When we saw the place Jesus had made for us, we were so overwhelmed by the magnificence and glory of what was in front of us, that it was impossible to describe. As we stepped inside our new home, we realized that this is where we are going to be living forever! The inside of the buildings was so stunning and bright that it took us days just to accept that, this was our own home forever and we would never be leaving.
After looking at our new home, we walked down the golden streets and would meet someone and tell them of the wonderful house Jesus and had made for us. They to, had the same story and we would invite each other to go and see each other’s homes.
The rooms were bright with the light of God and the furniture was made of precious metals and gemstones that radiated million of colors with the light reflected through it. You didn't need to turn the light on here! The cloth was soft and metallic in color. There were golden tables and bowls and cups made of diamonds and platinum full of all sorts of fruits, nuts, cakes, sweet things and all sorts of fruit juices to drink.
The chairs were made of polished metal with all sorts of pearls and colors stones glued to them.
The view out of anyone’s window allowed them to see the throne of God and the other beautiful buildings and gardens. We can look outside with our x-ray vision and see our next-door neighbor 100 kilometers away and call them mentally to come and visit us or just chat about how wonderful the paradise of God is. Because the floors and ceilings are made of transparent materials, I can see people in the rooms above and below me and we wave and talk to each other all the time.
The buildings in the New Jerusalem are enormous. Some of them are over sixty kilometers high.
They do not have stairs. If we wanted to go to the top, we simply fly to the floor we wanted to go and land on the balcony. At the top of the building was a view no mortal mind can imagine. The city was made of gold, silver and all manner of precious metals and gemstones. With the glory of God illuminating every building, in it shone with a million colors. It was like looking at a trillion rainbows of light. With our new x-ray vision we can see millions of colors and frequencies we had never seen before.
We see angels and saints continually ascending and descending from their travels to other galaxies and planets. The view is even better from the Moon where we can look down and see the whole Earth and the New Jerusalem looks like a giant gemstone of brilliant light. In the New earth the Moon is as bright as the Sun with the glory of the holy city shining on it.
Our apartments are huge with all the things you could imagine and much more. The food and drink in our apartments never runs out and you don't need to wash dishes, or throw scraps out either.
We have musical instruments to play whenever we want to, and with our super powers, we can play perfectly the first time. We can play and compose music at the same time, such as no human has ever heard. We also had super powers to make furniture and artworks out of whatever materials we wanted. We would ask God for materials, and the materials would be instantly supplied. We then fashioned them with our super powers into amazing objects to adorn our new home.
You will be able to make a grand piano out of Platinum. It is covered with precious stones and engraved with delicate artwork. The white keys are made of silver and the 'black' keys are made of Rhodium. The strings are made of pure Palladium.
The Holy Spirit appears to us at any time, to be our teacher and answer many questions we have. He takes on a visible human like form and we talk to him face to face. We are taught all manner of scientific truths that we grasp instantly and never forget. He also takes us on exploration trips throughout the universe showing us wonders beyond belief.
We are soon to go exploring the Great Wall of galaxies with Him.
This wall is 300 million light years wide, and joins the Coma cluster to the Hercules cluster of Galaxies. Even larger still is the 500 million light year wide wall of galaxies that joins the Virgo, Hydra and Centaurus clusters, and eventually merges with the Pavo cluster on the other side of the Milky Way itself. As we travel from place to place the Holy Spirit talks to us face to face and answers all of the difficult questions we have wondered about. Because he is God, he can appear to every one at once. The greatest thing about being in the Holy City is, seeing God face to face and worshipping Him every day. We then walked out of the New Jerusalem over to the edge of the Crystal Sea and looked out into space. Standing on the edge, you see the starry heavens above and in front of you.
What an amazing place to spend eternity.
During the Thousand Years, we take part in the judgment, and God allows us to look at the books to see that every case has been judged fairly and accurately. A huge screen is before us and all we have to do is think, and the image and sound is portrayed before us. We not only see what was done, and hear what was said, but we also can see the thoughts and motives of every person. The whole life story is before us, from birth to death. If you have any question about a person or group of people, we think about it and all the data comes up on the screen before us. After looking at all the details, we are all convinced of the soundness of God's judgments, and we exclaim that God’s judgments are just. We see how God's angels protected us from harm and lead us into the truth. We praise God for His love towards us.
(I do not recall where this quote came from.)
Ephesians 3:14-19
Paul says,
"For this cause, I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man;
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen."
